1. Delete From the App

The fastest way to delete your Zidly account is directly from the mobile app. You will need to be signed in.

Step 1 —
Open the Zidly app and sign in to your account.
Step 2 —
Go to Profile from the bottom navigation bar.
Step 3 —
Scroll to the bottom of the settings list and select Delete Account.
Step 4 —
Review the consequences shown, then confirm to submit your request.

Once submitted, your request enters review and your account is scheduled for deletion. You will receive confirmation in the app.

2. Request by Email

If you no longer have access to the app or cannot sign in, you can request deletion by email instead.

Send a message to info@zidly.me from the email address registered to your Zidly account, with the subject line “Account Deletion Request”. Include the phone number linked to your account so we can verify your identity.

For your security, we only action requests we can verify. If we cannot confirm that the request comes from the account holder, we may ask you for additional information before proceeding.

3. What Gets Deleted

When your deletion request is completed, we permanently remove the personal data associated with your account, including:

Profile information —
your name, display name, bio, date of birth, nationality, profile photo, and Zidly ID.
Contact details —
your phone number and email address.
Identity documents —
any KYC verification documents you uploaded.
Payment details —
saved card tokens and linked bank account details.
Receiving profiles —
your tip profiles, QR codes, and any venue links associated with them.
Device data —
push notification tokens and saved app preferences.

4. What We Must Retain

Some information cannot be deleted immediately, because we are required to keep it by law or to complete obligations we owe you. This is limited to what is strictly necessary.

Transaction records —
records of tips sent and received are retained to meet financial, tax, and anti-money-laundering obligations under Kuwaiti law. These records are retained for the period required by the applicable regulations.
Pending balances —
if you have an unpaid balance or a payout in progress, we retain the records needed to complete that payment to you.
Dispute and fraud records —
information relating to an open dispute, chargeback, or fraud investigation is retained until the matter is resolved.

Where records must be retained, they are kept only for the required period and are not used for any other purpose. Retained transaction records are disassociated from your deleted profile wherever the law permits.

5. How Long It Takes

Deletion requests are reviewed and processed within 30 days of submission. In most cases the account is deactivated immediately and no longer accessible, with the underlying data removed during the review period.

The review period allows us to confirm the request is genuine, settle any outstanding balance owed to you, and resolve any open disputes before data is removed permanently.

6. Cancelling a Request

You may cancel a pending deletion request at any time before it is processed. Sign in to the Zidly app and cancel the request from your Profile screen, or email info@zidly.me from your registered address.

Once a request has been fully processed, it cannot be reversed and your data cannot be recovered.

7. Before You Delete

Please review the following, as these actions cannot be undone once deletion completes:

Withdraw your balance —
transfer any remaining balance to your bank account before requesting deletion.
Your QR codes stop working —
any printed or shared Zidly QR codes and tip links will no longer accept tips.
Venue links are removed —
if you are linked to a venue or team, you will be removed from it.
The same details can be reused —
deleting your account does not prevent you from signing up again later, but your previous history and Zidly ID will not be restored.

8. Contact Us
