We collect several types of information from and about our users to provide a seamless cashless tipping experience:

- Name, email address, phone number, work profile (e.g., job title like Barista, Waiter, Hairdresser), and banking details required for payout withdrawals.
- KYC & Verification Data:
- Civil ID details, a selfie, and proof of address, collected to verify your identity before payouts are enabled.
- Transaction Information:
- Details of tips received or sent, payment methods used (such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, or card tokens), timestamps, and total transaction amounts.
- Usage & Device Data:
- IP address, app version, operating system, browser type, unique device identifiers, and transaction metadata such as amounts, timestamps and recipient.
3. How We Use Your Information
Zidly uses the information we gather to facilitate and process peer-to-peer microtransactions securely. Specifically, we use your data to generate custom tipping QR codes, authenticate user identities during app sign-ins, process fast withdrawals directly to your local bank account, and send push notifications or instant SMS alerts the moment a tip is received.
Additionally, aggregated, non-identifying transaction data is analyzed to populate the analytics charts in our business dashboard, helping restaurants, hotels, and cafes understand peak tipping hours, track staff performance, and optimize their service standards.
Tipper anonymity: Tippers paying as guests appear to recipients as “Anonymous”. Recipients never see card numbers, the tipper’s phone, or the tipper’s legal name unless the tipper is a signed-in Zidly user who chose to be visible.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with regulated payment processors (to settle transactions), our cloud and identity-verification providers (under contract), and authorities where required by Kuwaiti law.
If you are a service professional working under a registered business account (such as a hotel or cafe), your employer or business administrator may view transaction history and performance analytics associated with your custom Zidly profile or table assignment.
5. Data Security
Card details are tokenised by our PCI-DSS certified payment partner; we never store full card numbers. The app and dashboard use TLS in transit and encryption at rest to protect your credentials and transaction logs.
While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to shield your personal data, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely foolproof, and we cannot guarantee its absolute safety.
6. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to monitor app performance, recognize your login sessions, and optimize the layout of our web dashboard. You have the choice to reject non-essential cookies via your browser's security settings. Please note that disabling essential cookies may impact certain platform functions, such as keeping you logged in to your account.
Data retention: We keep transaction records for at least 5 years to comply with Kuwait's anti-money-laundering rules. Account data is kept for the life of your account plus a short grace period after closure.

8. Age Requirement
You must be 18 or older to receive tips on Zidly. The platform is intended for professional service providers and customers who are at least 18 years of age, or the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone below that age, and will delete it promptly if we discover we have.
